Blue Apron is seeking a bright, energetic, self-motivated, highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Operations Manager/Legal Analyst with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience gained in-house, ideally at a leading consumer-facing technology and ecommerce company, to join its legal team.  This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and be involved in a wide range of legal matters across different practice areas for a fast-moving and complex business. This role will report to the General Counsel and  work closely with all members of the Legal team to support the company’s commercial, corporate, regulatory, litigation management, employment and strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.


-Manage plans or initiatives to make the Legal Department more efficient, including leading or assisting the legal team’s efforts in the preparation, implementation and refinement of forms, processes and procedures relevant to areas of coverage and partnering with business teams.
-Manage the Blue Apron contract lifecycle, from intake through execution and filing, and liaise with business teams on contract-related questions;  maintain contract management system.  
-Review and analyze documents (ex. invoices and agreements) for compliance with guidelines. Summarize contractual terms and other business and legal matters.
-Coordinate with other departments within Blue Apron on cross-functional projects and implementing legal initiatives.
-Build and maintain legal department dash-boarding. Administer and maintain key legal records and KPIs on performance, workload flows, contract volume and departmental budgets  to meet legal and organization needs.
-Manage incoming and outgoing NDAs and work through proposed changes.
-Handle preparation and filing of new and renewal permits and licenses, including tracking key dates.
-Assist in-house and outside counsel in the management of litigation and administrative matters, including organizing and maintaining internal litigation files (electronic and physical as needed), monitoring ongoing matter activity (including tracking of status and key dates), service of complaints/charges and pending deadlines; managing and coordinating discovery efforts between outside counsel and internal personnel; drafting, reviewing, analyzing and organizing internal documents.
-Review and respond to subpoenas, requests for personnel information from HR and other sources, including government agencies.
-Assist in the management of the legal hold process, including implementing, maintaining and tracking legal hold notices.
-Prepare summaries of litigation matters, as needed.
-Assist with corporate filings for new and existing entities, ordering documents from state Secretaries of State, and coordinate notarization, certification and apostille of corporate documents, as needed.
-Assist with public company matters, including SEC filings, SEC reporting process and preparation of materials for the Board of Directors. 
-Conduct periodic employee training on relevant legal topics.
-Coordinate Legal team bi-weekly meetings and other team events.
-Perform other special assignments, strategic projects or duties as needed.


-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
-At least 4-5 years of relevant experience, ideally  gained in-house, preferably  at a consumer-facing technology and/or  ecommerce company.  Experience with litigation and public company  support is strongly preferred.
-Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Google Suite (e.g. Gmail and Google Drive) and Adobe Acrobat.  Experience with DocuSign, Tableau, electronic billing and contract management software is preferred.
-Be highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, autonomous, creative, efficient and resourceful with strong follow-through skills.
-Be able to manage competing deadlines and demands and nimbly adjust to shifting priorities within a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
-Have a strong work ethic and sense of professionalism and discretion, demonstrating accountability, integrity, good judgment and respect for confidentiality.
-Be able to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive, “can do” attitude to the workplace and works collaboratively with other members of the legal team and with internal business partners.
-Have excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
-Be highly analytical and have exceptional problem-solving skills.
-Have a strong desire to learn the business and expand areas of expertise and to function integrally as part of an interdisciplinary team.
